Building our community of the future
Established in 2004, Furry Creek Community Association works hand in hand with different levels of government and private developers to ensure the provision of public services, safety promotion, preservation of the community's character, and prevention of pollution and land abuse. Our association aims to engage the community, inform visitors, and share updates and events. Furry Creek is a friendly and tranquil community that focuses on environmental stewardship and offers recreational activities like hiking, picnicking, and fishing.

Our First Nation Heritage
Becoming Furry Creek...
In the 1870s, the creek was named after early prospector and settler Oliver Furry. Loggers worked the slopes, and a two adits from the Britannia Creek mine opened into Furry Creek where logging camps supplied timbers for mine shoring in the early 1900s.
Dams on Phyllis and Marion Lake and Furry Creek redirected water from Furry Creek to the Britannia mine for power generation. More...
